M And M Cookies 2-1/4 cups all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon baking soda 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 1/2 sticks butter 1-1/3 cups firmly packed light brown sugar 2 eggs 1 teaspoon vanilla 1 cup M and M's 1/2 cup chopped nuts Preheat oven to 350. In bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt, set aside. In another bowl, combine butter and sugar. Beat with mixer until light and fluffy. Blend in eggs and vanilla. Gradually add flour mixture, mix well. Stir in M and M's and nuts. Drop by heaping tablespoonfuls 3 inches apart onto greased cookie sheet. Press 3 to 4 additional M and M's into each cookie, if desired. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until lightly browned. Cool on pan for 3 minutes. Remove to wire rack. Cool completely. Makes 2 dozen.
