Strawberry Shortcake 01 2 cups all-purpose flour 2 tablespoons sugar 4 teaspoons baking powder 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar 1 stick cold margarine 1 egg, beaten 2/3 cup milk 2 pints strawberries, sliced Frozen whipped topping, thawed Preheat oven to 375. In bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and cream of tartar. Cut in margarine until crumbly. Add egg and milk; mix well. Spread into 8 inch square baking pan coated with non-stick cooking spray. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes. Cut into 18 pieces. Top nine pieces with half of strawberries. Repeat layers. Garnish with whipped topping.
