Red Velvet Cake 1 1/2 sticks butter 2 eggs 1 1/2 cups sugar 1 1/2 teaspoons cocoa 1/4 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon baking soda 2 teaspoons vinegar 2 teaspoons vanilla 1 to 2 ounces red food coloring 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour 1 cup buttermilk Preheat oven to 350. In bowl, combine butter, eggs and sugar. Beat with mixer until fluffy. Add cocoa, salt, baking soda, vinegar, vanilla and food coloring, Mix well. Alternately add flour and buttermilk. Beat until all lumps are gone. Pour into greased and floured 9x13 inch baking pan. Bake for 30 minutes, or until toothpick inserted into center comes out clean. Cool. Spread with Red Velvet Frosting.
