Chocolate Maraschino Cherry Cake 1 (18.25 ounce) box chocolate fudge cake mix 3/4 cup cocoa 1 cup mayonnaise 1 1/3 cups water 3 eggs 1 cup finely chopped almonds 1 (16 ounce) jar maraschino cherries, drained, chopped Preheat oven to 350. In bowl, combine cake mix and cocoa. Make a well in center. Add water, mayonnaise and eggs. Beat with mixer on low until blended. Beat on medium for 2 minutes. Stir in nuts and cherries. Divide batter between two greased and floured 9 inch round cake pans. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, or until toothpick inserted into centers comes out clean.
